What Parents Are Saying About Fortress... |

I am writing this letter to you to let you know how much Fortress Martial Arts means to us. My eleven year old son has been learning karate from you for only a few months, but it immediately made a world of difference to his confidence, demeanor, and attitude. His grades have also improved. Also, when confronted with a bully, my son was able to diffuse the situation using a defense move that you taught him. We are so thankful we chose Fortress Martial Arts for him.

We initially put our daughter in karate because competition of group sports such as soccer and basketball were not her style and her self-confidence was low. Through the months in karate, our daughter has become stronger in herself and in her knowledge that she is important. We see her self-control and desire to be a better person come through, not only in her karate moves, but in her school work and her respect to her family. Not only is it important to our daughter not to miss karate, it’s important for us to get her there, and on time, to show how much we value what she has accomplished. We would not have stayed at Fortress, had it not been for the caring and supportive leaders we have with Mr. Andrews and Mr. Alderman. They each know our child and truly care about her well being. Thank you and all your instructors for the time and dedication you put in teaching our children respect, kindness, confidence, patience and karate. Clark has enjoyed his time with you and has surprised us with how much he has learned. I also love how much "running around" he gets to do. I can tell he is increasing his endurance and strength.

Riley was BESIDE herself last night!!!! I was elated to see her proud of such an accomplishment she knew she achieved on her own...Hence, her Dad and I coaxed Riley into taking karate, knowing what it did for her brother in just the short time he took. I have all ready seen a difference in Riley in the way she holds herself. You are a great influence and so wonderful with the children. I could see after watching just two times before we signed up, your love for what you are doing. I pray that Riley will continue with this for a long time. Thanks for your help and your passion! Haley & Jacob absolutely LOVE karate! They have been showing everyone their "moves"! They practiced this weekend on a football field in Mt. Pleasant & on the beach at Isle of Palms! They are so proud of what they've already learned. I'm so excited about the respect you're teaching them & the Christian influence you'll have over them.
